Another of Sage’s two sport student-athletes, Sean Alvarado returns for a second season on the men’s tennis team. As a tennis newcomer last spring, he went 2-2 in singles play at fifth and sixth singles. He went 1- in doubles action for the Gators in 2012.

Earning the Gator of the Year award in cross country as a freshman at Sage, he helped the 2012 men’s cross country team post a third place finish at the 2012 Skyline Conference Cross Country Championships as well as a spot on the 2012 USTFCCCA Scholar-Athlete Team.

He came to Sage after an impressive scholastic career at Onteora High School, where he played three sports, football, cross country, and track. He was named team captain of the cross country squad as a junior and senior. At Sage, he is majoring in physical education and is the son of Dean and Tammy Alvarado.
